Pt-coated twin paraboloidal laboratory capillary high energy X-ray optics

The novel X-ray optics, composed of twin paraboloidal capillaries coated with platinum, aim to transform the landscape of laboratory X-ray sources. Unlike existing technologies, these optics are designed to focus X-rays with photon energies up to 40 keV, providing an achromatic focused beam. The research delves into the performance of these optics under various operational conditions, comparing energy-photon count spectra of direct and focused beams.

Focused beam on the detector sensor placed 263 mm downstream of the focus for six photon energy bins of width 1 keV and centers 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 keV.
