SOLID, the ESS lighthouse on hard materials in 3D, recently held their annual general assembly.

This year’s SOLID General Assembly gathered 25 researchers at Sandbjerg to exchange insights on 3D imaging of hard materials. Highlights included updates on DanMAX by Thorbjørn E. K. Christensen, ESS progress presented online by Robin Woracek, and a deep dive into tomographic reconstruction trends by Jakob Sauer Jørgensen. In-situ equipment was also discussed, and junior researchers delivered strong contributions presenting their work. Additionally a sketch of a neutron microscope concept was presented by Henning Friis Poulsen.
The assembly reaffirmed the community’s commitment to advancing imaging science through collaboration and innovation.
